A significant drop in revenue has prompted 888 Poker to take steps to boost its profile and income with the launch of a new poker client and its Rake of Break Sunday promotion.
The major changes to the company’s poker platform have been dubbed ‘Poker 8’ and will be updated for 888 Poker desktop users across the world. According to 888 Holdings, the changes have been introduced following a prolonged period of feedback and research.

According to media reports, the Senior Vice President of B2C at 888 Holdings, Guy Cohen has promised further changes to their platform, while the CEO of the company, Itai Pazner informed the readers of Gambling Insider that they had a clear agenda for their poker product.

Players who fail to hit the guarantee in these events will have their tournament fees, including any re-entry fees, refunded, and will benefit from a 10 percent increase in the following week’s guarantee. The opening weekend’s qualifying tournaments include a $55 buy-in, $15,000 Guaranteed Rake or Break Monsoon, and a $320 buy-in, $100,000 Guaranteed Rake or Break Main Event.
