Amatic is launching two brand new Ancient Egyptian-themed slots this week. In what is set to be a busy March for the casino software provider, the first of these new games is now live at all casinos offering their titles.
Book of Lords features a familiar design which will be instantly recognisable to any player who has played Egyptian-themed slots before, and the new game chooses to focus on the mythology and religion of the civilisation. This makes its imagery rather unique, as opposed to usual Pharaonic masks and Ankhs which frequently appear in rival titles.
Book of Ra Reborn
As soon as a player sits down to give the Book of Lords slot a run for its money, they will notice that it is strikingly similar to Novomatic’s Book of Ra slot, at least in terms of gameplay and reel design. The new slot features 5 reels of three symbols each, and there are 10 paylines crisscrossing their way across those reels.
Wagers are a touch inflexible in this new game. All 10 lines are fixed into place, and bets are, therefore, set to cost at least 10p a game. Spinning the reels of this slot can cost upwards of £300 a spin for those who are feeling adventurous, though.
A Relic of a Bygone Era
Just like in Book of Ra, the Book of Lords slot features a heroic explorer as its best-paying symbol. She can dish out wins worth up to 1,500,000 coins. There is a scatter wild in the game, too, and just like the Novomatic slot, it appears as a book. This can not only dish out wins wherever it falls but substitutes for any other icons and triggers a free spin bonus when 3 or more appear on the reels. That round offers 10 spins with a random symbol chosen at random to expand on the reels.
The gameplay in this release is dated and virtually identical to Book of Ra in seemingly every way. This may impress players who happen to like that game, but Book of Lords doesn’t bring anything new to the table for those who love Ancient Egyptian slots. The gameplay is very much a relic of a bygone era of slot gaming.
Book of Lords Awakens at Casinos This Month
Book of Lords should now be available to play at any casino which offers Amatic Industries developed slots. It is likely to be joined by Book of Queen, the second Ancient Egyptian slot which is set to debut this week.
