In an effort to develop an advertisement blockchain, Amazon has decided to search for a software development engineer.

A software development engineer is needed to be part of its Colorado team, according to the job offer that was Amazon posted on LinkedIn.

As part of the advertisement blockchain’s work, the individual will leverage on the fast-moving startup culture, industry-leading cloud services, and online retail data to grow the advertisement business of the online retail behemoth.

The post declared the following:

“Our new team in Boulder, CO is looking for a Sr Software Engineer to work within our Advertising FinTech team focused on a Blockchain ledger, billing and reconciliation systems to provide data transparency on transnational financial data.”

The specific role

Operational support and systems maintenance will be the primary responsibility for the occupant of that position. Therefore, the role of the engineer who is appointed will entail lead design, requirements analysis, interfacing with program managers and engineers as well as core components deployment and implementation.

The company, on its part, made it clear that it has preferences on candidates who are experienced in blockchain, financial technology, and more importantly, advertisement. Reason being, the engineer will be expected to draw out the systems’ architectural and technical roadmap.

In May, Amazon obtained a patent to generate Merkle trees that serves as the Proof-of-Work algorithm solution, but the exact plans haven’t materialized up to now.
