Microsoft who is known for its foldable phone is all set to launch its new foldable, Surface Phone Codenamed Andromeda by early next year. According to the new book “Beneath a Surface” by Tom Sams who is also a part of Microsoft tech blog Thurrot.com, Andromeda is going to come in reality by the first half of 2019. The device is expected to be similar Samsung phones whose glimpse were provided by the company in the last month. The Andromeda phone will be more like a Microsoft’s Surface laptop but will run on latest OS version of Android.

One thing is sure that the future of smartphones is going to be foldable. Companies like LG, Apple, and Huawei is also working on foldable type smartphone which is expected to hit the market by next one or two years. Microsoft is also planning to release new Xbox One devices and Surface laptops with new AMD chips instead of Intel in 2019 and an iPad which is expected to release by the end of 2019 and it will have features like a USB Type-C port, thin bezels, and round corners.

According to the book, Andromeda is going to be a little larger in size than the regular smartphone. Andromeda will bring a new revolution in the era of smartphones with its features which are unbeatable in the market. Microsoft will make a comeback with this phone to give a good competition to its competitors. South Korean smartphone company, Samsung is also planning to give a good fight to Microsoft and aiming to launch its foldable smartphone by the end of next year. The Chinese company, Huawei is also working on this type of device. It is expected to see a great fight among the giant smartphone makers by the end of 2019.
