Poker star Patrik Antonius is set to host his own live tournament series, to help promote a new poker app called First Land of Poker (FLOP).

Antonius, who is one of the best-known figures in the poker world has had a busy few months on the live tournament circuit, taking part in diverse events from the Battle of Malta to the Triton Poker Series. Little is yet known about his app, but it is set to be released in early April to coincide with the start of the Patrik Antonius Poker Challenge (PAPC), which will be held in Estonia.

In total, the live tournament series will include 52 events, and Antonius has been helped by Teresa Nousianen, the former European Poker Tour (EPT) Tournament Director, to put together the complete series. With tournaments offering buys from nothing to as much as €25,000, it has something to offer for everyone, though the highlights, beside the unveiling of his new app, will be the €10,200 No-Limit Hold’em Championship Event held on the 6th and 7th of April and the €25,000 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller Event on April 3rd. A live televised cash game is also planned.

Success for Eriquezzo and You Zeng

In other poker news, Ryan Eriquezzo was the winner of the WSOPC Main Event, held at Harrah’s Atlantic City. Eriquezzo was winning his third World Series of Poker gold ring, seeing off 356 other entrants in the $1,700 Main Event, which was also his ninth tournament win.

And in Johannesburg, You Zeng was the big winner of the WPT Deep Stacks Main Event. Zeng accrued a career-high total of $69,451 over three days at the Emperor’s Palace Hotel & Casino. It was only the second live tournament success of his career, and by far the bigger of the two, following his 7th place finish in a No-Limit Hold’em Freeroll back in 2016.
