Arsenal Reject Everton’s Advances on Alex Iwobi

The Gunners have rejected a £30m offer from Everton for forward Alex Iwobi, according to Sky Sports.

Everton have had a £30m bid for Alex Iwobi rejected by Arsenal.

Iwobi, who is contracted with the Gunners until 2023, made 35 Premier League appearances last season and registered three goals and seven assists.

The Toffees are expected to return with an improved deal before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.

In the meantime, Everton have ended interest in Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucuure. The Hornets turned down a second bid worth £36.7m for the defensive midfielder on Tuesday.

However, Everton have said to have agreed an £8.5m transfer of James McCarthy to Crystal Palace.
