The Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced an extension to its current partnership with Betway by three more years. The collaboration is expected to last until 2022.

This extension will see the two firms continue their cooperation, with even more broadcast and pitch presence at all women’s and men’s international home series games. This collaboration was broadened to allow Betway to become the official sponsor of the Colonial Medical Insurance Super50 cup of West Indies. The partnership implies that Betway will also become the official sponsor of CWI’s player education and integrity initiatives.

Dominic Warne, commercial director at CWI, welcomed the move stating that they at CWI are delighted to prolong their relationship with Betway, one of the significant partners whose efforts are making a massive difference in the development of international cricket.

Betway’s CEO, Anthony Werkman, stated that cricket is quite a popular sport, and extension of this collaboration will be the cornerstone of their entry into the sport.

The initial partnership with Betway and CWI started the International Home Series that pitched Sri Lanka against West Indies in 2018, and this led to the 2020 Home series in Ireland.
