Chief technology officer of Flybuys, Brad Blyth, is leaving the company. He has announced the news of his departure from the loyalty program company several days ago. Mr. Blyth spent almost two-and-half years working for Flybuys, and now, all of a sudden, he has announced his departure from the company without detailed explanation.

In a LinkedIn post, Mr. Blyth has stated that he was proud of his company and what they have achieved through the coronavirus pandemic.

He wrote on LinkedIn:

“As the new year kicks off, my time at Flybuys draws to an end. I’m very proud of all the outcomes we’ve been able to achieve over the years, especially the ones under unprecedented circumstances. I look forward to seeing the next generation of “Flybuyers” take it to the next level. I start my new exciting chapter soon!”

Flybuys have no acting CTO for now, but the company’s spokesperson said that they are actively recruiting.

While Blyth was with them, the company finalized its migration to the cloud in November 2020. Brad Blyth was pleased with the project, saying:

“The technology was very much intertwined into Coles given that Flybuys was a department within Coles for so long.”

Before coming to Flybuys, Blyth worked as a CTO for Latitude Financial Services and he also spent four years at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia as head of mobile business solutions and architecture.
