A marriage between Casino Zürichsee and Playtech has spawned a new offspring, a live casino service and jackpot casino games. They can be found on Zürichsee’s Swiss online gambling platform, the first in the country.
Zürichsee rolled out its platform a few weeks ago and Playtech is poised to support its launch with a tech-driven IMS management platform. Players can enjoy Playtech’s entire inventory on both desktop and mobile devices. One account suffices for both.
According to Marc Baumann, Swiss Casino Group Chief Executive, we have successfully established ourselves as the market leader for land-based casinos in Switzerland.
Choosing the partner for the online platform then was our top priority and we are delighted to partner with Playtech.
The partnership will certainly continue the success story of Swiss Casinos in the online market. Baumann’s praise the high competence of the team and its flexibility in adapting to regulatory requirements that will lay the foundation for long-term cooperation.
Shimon Akad, Chief Pperating Officer of Playtech, adds his own positive stance, tagging Swiss Casino as the ideal company to go live given its leading market position.
“Live casino is a hugely exciting growth area for Playtech, and we’re proud to partner with Swiss Casino on Switzerland’s first venture into this space.”
He says that Playtech has always maintained a focus on being the partner of choice across regulated and newly regulated markets.
“This kind of partnership, opening up a new sector in a newly regulated market, is a perfect example of our strategy in action.”
A few months ago, Casino Zürichsee was among the four land-based venues in Switzerland to secure an iGaming license by the Bundesrat, the Swiss National Council.
Others acquiring licenses are Grand Casino Baden, Casino Davos and Grand Casino Luzern. These operators have since launched their online offerings.
Grand Casino Luzern has joined hands with Åland Islands-based Paf, while the Grand Casino Baden site is powered by platform provider, Gamanza.
