Wilfried Zaha has reportedly told Crystal Palace that he wants to leave them, opening the door to a possible move to Tottenham or Chelsea this summer. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is known to be an admirer of the Ivory Coast international. The Lilywhites clearly need to bolster their side this season with more attacking players given that Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente are set to leave the club.
Zaha has been a good servant of Crystal Palace for the past few years. As he is now 26-years-old, he is at a stage of his career where he should be playing European football so it is no surprise that he may want to leave Selhurst Park.
“I’m too ambitious. And not ambitious just to play for a top club, but to win things at club level and with the Ivory Coast.” he said.
“For me to be better, to achieve what I know I am capable of, I have to aim to play at the very highest level, to win trophies. I’m blessed to have come this far in my playing career. But I feel like there is so much more I have to offer.
“I have to experience the Champions League. I just need the opportunity, that’s it. And I’ll do the rest.”
