Cyprus Casinos (C2) celebrates its visitor 1,000,000

With just one year of operation the Cyprus casinos reached a record number of one million visitors at the beginning of August, which allows predicting that this Mediterranean paradise will soon become an attractive tourist destination for gambling.

The commitment of the company Melco Resorts, which is currently operating 3 ‘satellite casinos’ C2 in various parts of the country, begins to show its fruits.

The success achieved with the first 3 satellite casinos installed in the Cypriot cities of Limassol (with more than 800,000 visitors), Nicosia (more than 150,000 visitors) and Larnaca (over 50,000 visitors), has raised the company’s prospects to open others 2 satellite casinos in Ayia Napa and Paphos.

“I am extremely happy with our first year of operations here in Cyprus, progress has been rapid and the local economy is already benefiting from the strong partnership we have created with the CNS Group,”

said Melco Resorts CEO Lawrence Ho recently, at a press conference held in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus.

The success of the company that owns the casinos was accompanied by fabulous prizes for Oana Georgiana Luca, the lucky 1,000,000 visitor who visited C2 Limassol. She obtained jewelry worth € 5000 under the patronage of Michalis Diamond Gallery and an elegant complimentary dinner for four people at the refined Columbia Bistro in C2 Limassol.

During the celebration of this important milestone for the company and for the country, Craig Ballantyne, president of property of City of Dreams Mediterranean and Cyprus Casinos, commented that

“after the recent launch of our third satellite casino C2 Ayia Napa and the next launch of C2 Paphos, the casinos of Cyprus will attract even more visitors from Cyprus and abroad and improve the entertainment offerings in those cities.”

Ballantyne expects that in 2021 when City of Dreams Mediterranean will be inaugurated, the Integrated Casino Resort will be able to offer visitors other attractions and greater entertainment options besides games, with the aim of empowering Cyprus as one of the most important tourist destinations in the regional and global scope.
