The World Series of Poker in 2019 has seen it all. It has three skilled players at the top of the leader board, and who had shown a lot of promise, older timers who would not go away as well as fresh blood who could leapfrog to the top at any time.

However, the person who secures player of the year will have their photo hanged in the Rio rafter in 2020’s World Series challenge that will be held in Las Vegas. This fact continues to fascinate poker fans who cheer for the remaining players. Here is a list of who they are.

Robert Campbell

He is an Australian, double bracelet winner and currently in position two, right behind Negreanu. He got to the top after the three month Vegas match. Following his successful completion of 14 of 15 games in Rozvadov, he needs to beat Shaun Deeb.

Shaun Deeb

As last year’s winner of Player of the year, he has clearly defined the Strong expression defense when it comes to fighting to stay at the top. While he did not dominate the way he did in 2018, he refused to be blown out of the game.

He is a beast in all mixed games, and he has been doing so well that it is likely he has forgotten what his B game feels. This is just as well because he would not be happy if Negreanu won the title.

Daniel Negreanu

It’s almost impossible not to notice the fact that kid’s Poker might turn out to be the most excellent winner of the year award competition irrespective of the outcome. From rationality over Deeb’s duel to a blog story about his journey right from his first even at Rozvadov, it almost feels like kid poker has had the upper hand in the race despite him being behind by a few points.

Exposure for his journey, irrespective of the final destination, built his brand. For a few years, it almost felt like he was merely PokerStar’s brand ambassador. However, going by recent events, it seems that he is a big name in poker and that PokerStar was lucky to fortunate to have worked with him. It appears that his hand is firmly on the title.

Antony Zinno

After many heroics at the WSOP main event in Europe, he still has the potential to win the title player of the year after having had an astonishing run during the closing stage. Zinno, who has won the bracelet twice before the last event, was expected to be a big problem for the forerunners when he got in deep at the WSOP European league in Rozvadov.

However, his challengers still do not understand how close he is to the title. A win for him would not just be the only thing to talk about at the World Poker Series; it would also go down in history as the most important story.
