Daniel Negreanu has challenged himself with a 5/2 bet that he will win the bracelet for the World Series of Poker tournament for the seventh time this year.
The legendary Canadian poker player has given himself six months to win the title again. If the restrictive measures for the coronavirus pandemic continue, we may have to do it online and not live.
The WSOP may take place at the end of the year, but for now everything seems to indicate that they will have to be played mostly online. This is the challenge launched by the Canadian on Twitter.
“Looking for action:
- I will take 2.5 to 1 to win a WSOP bracelet in 2020
online at http://WSOP.com or @ GGPokerOfficial
- Or, if there is a live WSOP this fall.
- Hard to win against huge online fields.
- You will wager up to $ 1 million. ”
The challenge launched by Negreanu is accompanied by his happiness for accomplishing the epic feat in the world of poker. The bets aim for the champion of champions to bring out the best of all his contests, including a maximum bet of up to $ 100,000.
Meanwhile other poker stars like Connor Drinan, Ali Imsirovic and Patrick Leonard also hope for the best from Negreanu. The Canadian also wrote the following on his Twitter account:
“I will also bet against another player of your choice, you can choose yourself or a wizard. You must win the WSOP bracelet in 2020. If you both win, it’s a push. If neither wins it is a push. Even money.”
Statistics favor Negreanu in betting. The two-time WSOP Player of the Year and Poker Hall of Fame member has over $ 40 million raised from live poker tournaments. Also, the newly married player Negreanu is very familiar with GG Poker of whom he is an ambassador.
Negreanu has already met his first two opponents with karat in the challenge that has been raised. “They are both top players, so anyone could win one for sure,” he said.
About 85 bracelets are available this year, so Negreanu confirmed that “any bracelet” is worth it. In any tournament that takes place this year, Negreanu will be there.
In 2013, he won his last bracelet victory. Since then he has been struggling. If there is no ceremony this year for Negreanu, there will certainly be a video blog to enjoy his game if he wins.
