The future of goalkeeper David de Gea at Manchester United continues to remain in doubt. Reports emerged last month which suggested that the Spaniard was nearing signing a £350 000 deal with the Red Devils to remain at Old Trafford beyond the end of the season.
The Sunday Mirror have since said that negotiations failed to reach a breakthrough. The 28-year-old will be free to talk to foreign clubs in January. As that deadline approaches, there will be pressure on United to reach a deal with the player who has been their best since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013.
