It is still early days but the result from Event Two could have a serious impact on deciding the race for the 2019 Player of the Year.
During the €550 Pot Limit Omaha Event, Shaun Deeb was looking for a 836 point win. He blew his hopes after going from chip leader to 18th place, cashing for only €1445.
He led into the final day. Deeb earned enough to gain a slight lead over Campbell. Anthony Zinno fell in 14th finished and blew a chance to go to the top of the leader-board.
Deeb will need to regain form if he is to regain momentum during Event #3 the ‘Mini’ Main Event. The €250 000 entry Super High Roller does not count towards the Player of the Year Standings.
Deeb may be the man to stop at the POTY as well. It seems like there is no pressure on him to chase down Robert Campbell. The Aussie may be leading but he will need to win another event in Rozvadow if he wants to cling onto the lead ahead of Bonfire Night.
