Marcus Morris was in the free agency, he agreed a contract with Spurs but signed with the Knicks.

In his recent interview with the Athletic, Morris said that his move with the Knicks was not in the shade. He made his decision known to Spurs officials before signing with Knicks. He said that he had a deal with the Spurs because he thought there was nothing else left for him.

He then realized that the Knicks had more cap space than initially expected after they reworked his contract.

Morris appreciated the opportunity the Spur were giving him. He claimed he has a lot of love for the organization. For now, he fills comfortable being part of the Knicks since he is near his home and can now meet his family frequently.

Last season while in Celtic, Morris had an average of 13.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and shooting 37.5 per cent from 3-point range.

Apart from Morris, New York Knicks added Julius Randle, Taj Gibson, Bobby Portis, Elfrid Payton and Wayne Ellington.
