Formula 1, the world’s leading motor racing competition, announced its incorporation into online games by commercially partnering with the sports sponsor Interregional Sports Group (ISG) and the sports data collection and analysis multinational, Sportradar.
From this alliance will emerge from now on innovative services for lovers of F1 and gambling around the world. Formula 1, ISG and Sportradar will produce a live betting offer for motor racing every weekend, which will allow fans to enjoy this exciting sport in other ways.
Using the historical data provided by Formula 1, Sportradar will initially offer up to thirty unique betting packages that include the qualification of the runners, the times during the qualifying day, the positions of the teams and the pairings in the overtaking.
According to a statement issued by the competition, “work is also being done to develop an integrity service to protect the sport from possible damage” during competitions.
This offer of online motoring bets will be extended as the season progresses, by incorporating other types of bets, which includes head to head during the race and head to head in pole position.
This new service that constitutes a real novelty in iGaming, will be launched before the 2020 season.
On the important agreement, Sean Bratches, Managing Director of Commercial Operations in Formula 1, commented on his complacency for the partnership with ISG, “which has demonstrated its impressive global capabilities in working with people like Series A and La Liga.”
He said they are also
“very excited to work with ISG and Sportradar to make the most of the data generated in each Grand Prix. Sportradar is a world leader in data distribution and shares our passion to make F1 an important player in this field. ”
For the joint executive director of the ISG Group, Tony Ragan, “the potential for bets before and after the race is enormous and F1 itself is developing in a way that will continue to generate opportunities for additional markets.”
While David Lampitt, managing director of sports association at Sportradar, said that
“F1 is still an untapped market for bookmakers, despite being one of the richest data sports in the world.”
The new partnership will allow to launch improved products based on real data, which will also help create a more complete offer and new opportunities for additional online betting before and during the live races.
This agreement is finalized after ISG launched last March a free betting game that is part of its official association with Formula 1. The F1 game will use the data collected and distributed by Sportradar. You can also sublicense the betting association rights so that they are used by gaming brands worldwide.
