Former Arsenal Striker Danny Welbeck Joins Watford

Watford have announced the signing of England striker Danny Welbeck, who was a free agent following his contract expiry at Arsenal this summer.

Arsenal released the 28-year-old after an injury-hit spell at the Emirates Stadium.

Welbeck made 126 appearances for the Gunners since arriving from Manchester United in 2014. He has been out of action since November with a long-term ankle injury picked up against Sporting Lisbon early in the Europa League stages.
