France Continues To Profit From Gambling Industry

Gambling in France flourishes it seems, or at least this is what the country’s recent gambling revenue looks like. This seems to be true for Q3 2019 at least because the country’s total revenue rose 27.7% year-on-year to €346 million. Most of the money was earned through sports betting, it increased 9% to €1.08 billion in the three-month period. Compared to the previous year, sports betting increased by 43.6% and its total revenue is €214 million.

Most of the betting was related to football, the sport that brought in €553 million.

Also, poker fared well, and it had a good figure for Q3 2019. The revenue from poker was €21 million and it affected the tournament rake because it also rose to €45 million during that time period.
