Isabelle Falque-Pierrotin, France state Councilor for the National Data Protections Commission, announced that the department is planning to launch governing structures that will oversee the gambling regulatory oversight.

In 2019, the En Marche government chose Falque-Pierrotin to head the L’autorite Nationale Des Juex-ANJ, France’s new regulatory agency for the gambling industry.

In her capacity, she was in charge of developing a new gambling regulation authority that would take over duties from the Treasury, ARJEL and the Agricultural department.

Falque-Pierrotin’s department issued a statement to the effect that the ANJ had started the acquisition of the ARJEL’s duties, with the official launch scheduled for spring of 2020.
