The COVID19 pandemic hasn’t made many of us smile. However, the poker world just got the biggest news. The GGPoker WSOP Main Event has been announced now.

There are 54 WSOP bracelets that are available to be won including the massive $25000 Poker Player Championship. The half-price entry fee of the regular would be required for Poker Player Championship. The lowest buy-in of the series has the lowest entry fee ever for a WSOP event, $50.

The GGPoker WSOP Event kicks off on August 16th and would cost around $5000 to take part. The massive $25mn guarantee would require 5000 entries. This is the biggest ever guarantee in the history of online poker.

The event would span across 3 days and would feature 22 freezes out Day 1 flights. This means that a player could end up paying a whopping $110,000 to play for the event, that someone could play via satellite at a much cheaper cost.

There are a total of $60mn total guarantees from dozens of WSOP events. The Opener, the Mini Main Event, and The Colossus are few of the examples. There are options for the Poker Pro as well. GGPoker is also running low-stakes events as well for pocket-friendly series. This would run simultaneously with the WSOP events.

World Series in partnership with GGPoker would see games like no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, short deck, and limit hold’em.

Ty Stewart, Executive Director of WSOP expressed his surprise on the event despite anticipating a big event from GGPoker. He termed the single biggest guarantee in history is what this event deserves.

PokerGo is the official partner of the World Series and the World Series will be screened on the multi-portals along with the online streaming services of GGPoker. PokerGo works on a subscription basis and it would club the series with new documentaries and other special features.

Apart from winning the bracelets, the players would have the chance of winning the Pure Gold Mouse (overall leaderboard winner), Pure Gold Dragon (Asian Player of the Series), and Pure Gold Card (for players finishing 2nd to 5th).

The players can register themselves for playing in the series via satellite from July 1.

Here are the details of the events.
