Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs believes that Romelu Lukaku cannot be blamed for quitting the Red Devils. The Belgian joined Inter Milan on Thursday in a deal worth £75 million. Lukaku joined United from Everton during the summer of 2017. He showed flashes of brilliance during his time at Old Trafford but was largely underwhelming as he went on to score 28 goals in the Premier League for the club from 66 appearances.
“With Lukaku with the way Ole (Gunnar Solskjaer) has looked to play, with Anthony Martial up front, with Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood, he has probably looked at it and gone ‘Maybe I am not going to get a lot of games out of him.’
“He is not the sort of player who can come in and out. He is either a player who starts and plays all the games, and he will score goals, but he is not a player to come in and out.
“I think Ole has looked at that and probably Lukaku has looked at that.
