On Monday Google introduced a trendy and different feature in its Maps where travelers in Delhi will be able to see auto rickshaws under the “public transport” mode in Maps. When the traveler will select the mode, he/she will be able to see the optional routes for the trip as well as the estimated auto-rickshaw rate, making it easier for them to plan their own trips. The new feature can be only found within the “public transport” and “cab” modes option in Google Maps and which is based on the predictable trip route. This official fare model was shared by the Delhi Traffic Police.
Presently in an unacquainted journey, travelers often overpay and don’t have any knowledge about the distance about a certain place or about the best route to be taken. In the Google map, the entire feature will help the travelers to plan their own journey better and smooth. This will help the traveler to get an expected cost of the auto-rickshaw ride and decide whether they want to take the ride or perhaps take a change mode of transport instead. Google, on the other hand, did not notify whether this feature will be presently available in the Google Maps app for Android devices or will it be rolled out to other cities in the near future.
If the travelers wish to use this feature then they need to update their Google Map to the latest version. The travelers have to open the application and then tap on the destination and then go to the “public transport” tab. Then only they will get the chance to see the auto rickshaw option in the “Also Consider” section.” Once they choose the option of transport on the screen they will get the chance to see the see the estimated rate of the trip and information regarding the trip.
