Home » Harrington on Hold’em – The Classic of Poker Literature

Harrington on Hold’em was not only a book, but it was also rather a guide or reference for the poker players. It was used for Poker Tips for all kinds of players since it launched around 15 years ago. But is that relevant even today? Well, ask Poker players they would nod their heads for this.

Harrington’s nickname was ‘Action Dan’. It sounds almost like a cash game today. However, may consider him as the ‘Dependable Dan’ rather.

He played professionally since 1982 and then wrote the Harrington on Hold’em. He wrote the book around 22 years after he first decided to do that. He has been one of the popular names in the Poker History with big prize money and European WSOP event victories. He shared all his experience and expertise with the people through his book. He breaks down the guidelines very strategically at many key parts of poker. His tips still help the online players of today.

Harrington has its own ability to break down each and every stage of the poker tournament in a very detailed way. He literally waited for 22 years to publish his book. It was the same year when Chris Moneymaker won the WSOP main event. Since then he has written six more books and the latest was released in 2014.

His victories, prize money, moments in the events would be cherished by the poker fans and players in the years to come. However, his passing of knowledge to the next generation of poker players would always be his greatest contribution to Poker. He basically provided a classic for the poker literature which still guides people across the globe. However, his follow up books did not have the same intensity. But like Harrington on Hold’em, every book reaches to the player and breaks down the strategy. It talks about to make things right and be better.

The Dependable Dan gave a classic book for the poker players and it is a must have for the poker players.
