The trade association iDEA Growth (iDevelopment and Economic Association Growth) has announced that Kindred Group has joined as the latest member to the voice of the industry calling for the legalization of mobile gaming and betting in the US. The gambling operator thus accompanies a number of other organizations from all sectors of the ever-growing online gaming and betting scene.
iDEA Growth aims to educate about the benefits of regulated gambling
The association has been building a movement to advocate for the legalization of mobile gaming and betting by delivering testimonies to multiple state legislatures. Its goal is to create a safe and regulated gaming environment that would allow the players to enjoy entertaining experience while being prosperous for the state.
The founder of iDEA Growth, Jeff Ifrah, explained the association’s philosophy:
“Since the first iGaming bill in New Jersey in 2013, to the Supreme Court ruling allowing states to create their own legislation, a unified industry voice was needed to advocate for and educate lawmakers and the public on the revenue opportunities and consumer protection from regulating mobile betting and gaming.”
Banding together various companies from all divisions of the industry, iDEA Growth seeks to be this voice and Ifrah believes they have what it takes to succeed.
“With iDEA Growth members representing every vertical in mobile gaming, we have built an effective lobbying force to support federal legislation that is backed by facts and demonstrates data integrity; to educate state lawmakers on the financial benefits and to ensure the best consumer gaming experience that is safe and regulated.”
The members are linked by their commitment to the cause
Having accepted Kindred Group as the newest addition to the pack, the association now consists of 25 members, connecting all parts of the online gambling industry; from casino operators and game developers through payment solutions to legal and technology services. They are 888.com, Bet365, Continent 8 Technologies, DraftKings, EML Payments, Gamesys, Global Payments, Golden Nugger, GVC Holdings, Ifrah Law, Kambi, Net Entertainment, Pala Interactive, Paysafe, PlayNJ, Pointsbet, Resorts Interactive, Saiber, SBTech, SG Digital, Sightline Payments, Sportsradar, Stars Group, Unibet and Worldpay.
Except for their interest in the gambling world, the members all have one other thing in common: they believe in the importance of iDEA Growth’s mission and they feel responsible to take part in the effort to make it succeed.
Christopher Justice, President at Global Payments Gaming Solutions, one of the members of iDEA Growth, commented:
“iDEA is playing a vital role in unifying the industry to deliver a clear and consistent voice for innovation while using technology to modernise approaches to safe, responsible gaming. Operators and technology providers alike have an obligation to ensure our industry’s digital transformation is responsibly managed, and iDEA serves in a leadership role.”
The Deputy General Counsel of Kindred Group PLC, Liv Biesemans, added her perspective as well:
“Kindred Group is delighted to join iDEA and contribute more than 20 years of experience gained from global markets. We have continuously advocated for fact-based policymaking, and with our core focus on sustainability and responsible gaming, we believe we can make a meaningful contribution to iDEA.”
