IESF’s Referee Workshop Concludes Course on Regulating Esports

The word “regulation” is big in the gaming industry. It applies to all sectors including esports. This is evident in the recent referee workshop conducted by the International Esports Federation (IESF) to benefit all athletes.

The comprehensive workshop had the support of the Busan Metropolitan City and Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (BIPA).
The success of the worthwhile project is expected to be widespread. A formal accreditation process for referees benefits everyone along with a set of universal new standards.

In the words of Colin Webster, IESF’s President, referees are the frontline of our member federations.

“As such, IESF is committed to capacitate such referees to the best of its ability so that such referees will help ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of esports.”
