Instagram, the social media giant, has added a number of new interactive features to its Stories format. These new features currently enable Instagram users to ask for recommendations related to music from their followers, answer questions during a live stream, and much more. The update will be rolled out on both Android and iOS from today.
The Facebook-owned company announced rolling out these new features during a blog post on Tuesday. Due to this update, users can now reply to questions sticker with a song from the music library. However, there is a catch. This new feature will be available only in regions where Instagram’s music library is currently available. When a particular user’s followers see a question sticker on their friend’s Stories, they will also see a new music icon. Clicking on this icon will allow users to choose and share a song from their music library on to their Instagram.
Instagram has also enabled new camera effects which will work with music currently being played on the app. Users can also try out these effects by swiping to the music section in the camera and then clicking on the new icons which are available above the capture button. Users can also use the question sticker during their live session videos on Instagram. This feature allows the user to post questions as it can be normally done in the Stories format. Once a user goes live on Instagram, they will be able to see the questions posted for them and can answer them.
In addition to this, followers will be able to view which questions are currently being answered by the person at that particular moment. Instagram has also allowed users to share photos and videos during live broadcasts and this will come into effect from today.
Users can also use the new countdown sticker in their Instagram Stories with the latest update. This can be named as a countdown, end date or time can be added, and a specific color can be selected before posting it to their Stories. The countdown sticker will be available for use in the user’s future Stories as well.
Users’ followers will be able to get a notification regarding the ending of the countdown. The feature is available globally on both Android and iOS with their latest update.
