The online sports betting operator Interwetten achieved a new trade association with VfL Wolfsburg, the German Bundesliga football team. With this agreement the operator will become an official partner of the online games of the German division.
Interwettem obtains with the agreement a series of benefits including the placement of advertisements in the LED bands, fixed advertising on the goals and on the field mats in the Volkswagen Arena, home of the VfL Wolsburg, one of the most important German clubs of the moment.
Although the terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, it is known that the agreement will take effect from the 2019-20 season. This agreement also contemplates prioritizing the integration of the brand into the social networks of VfL Wolfsburg.
The “Wölfe” are considered as one of the most innovative teams in terms of digital projects within the Bundesliga, which means a perfect society for Interwetten, which is a pioneer in digital sports betting.
In making the announcement of the agreement, the president of the Interwetten Board of Directors, Dominik Beier said:
“in the VfL Wolfsburg we have found a very interesting partner. The high level of professionalism, the digital approach and the club’s access to flexible and creative cooperation convinced us. ”
He said that
“the club did very well in sports terms and made the leap to the Europa League” and added that “what unites VfL Wolfsburg and Interwetten is the desire to work in an innovative way, develop new products and constantly advance”.
Michael Meeske, managing director of VfL Wolfsburg, expressed his satisfaction
“of having acquired a major international partner in the German-speaking sports betting market in the form of Interwetten, whose offer really sets the standard in the sector.”
He commented that VfL Wolfsburg and Interwetten have a common goal that is
“to work in an innovative way, develop new products and continue developing them constantly. We look forward to an active and successful cooperation in sport. “
Interwetten also sponsors the TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, which makes it one of the main sponsors of the German professional football league.
