Japan Announces The Launch Of Casino Commission

The Japanese government announced the national casino management commission on January 7th, next year. The commission will have five members and their appointments will be decided by the country’s parliament. Each commission member will serve five years in this position.
The commission’s tasks are to oversee the matters of security, probity and background checks. Also, they will oversee integrator resort operators in Japan and will do everything in their power to counter gambling addiction in the country.

Because of its ongoing market liberalization, Japan has decided to allow three resorts for now. It remains to be seen what the future has in store for Japanese IRs.
