Caesars Entertainment Corp have been able to snag Jan Jones Blackhurst as he’s set to join their board of directors. She previously served as the Executive Vice President, Public Policy & Corporate Responsibility of the reputable organization.
Blackhurst was thrown into the spotlight as the first female mayor of Las Vegas and she served from 1991 to 1999. She is replaces Richard Schifter, who felt his time was due and resigned from the board last week.
The Blackhurst who happens to be 70 years of age will step down from her role as an Executive Vice President from the 1st of October 2019 after spending 20 years with the firm. During her tenure, she she oversaw a series of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility programs) and she ensured diversity in the labor force.
Her promotion to the Board of Directors comes as the firm in on the verge of completing $17.8 billion merger with behemoth Eldorado Resorts.
