New Lakers coach Frank Vogel reject the nation that they will start LeBron James as the point guard this season. He said this during an interview with ESPN2 Ryan Ruocco. Ruocco asked him whether they plan to Start LeBron at point guard.
He told him that there is no decision made on starting LeBron at the point guard spot. He added that a lot of different lineup and combinations have been discussed, but added it’s too early to stand with any of the decision. He affirmed that LeBron would be a primary ball-handler. He will be doing the same things he has done in his entire career.
The Lakers are thin on point guard after missing Kawhi Leonard during free agency. But they have Rajon Rondo, Alex Caruso and Quinn Cook who are reliable players.
For now, James will be handling most of Lakers’ ball regardless of whether he is a point guard by title or not.
