Las Vegas Casinos and Resorts Introduce Venue Fees

Las Vegas Casinos and Resorts have come up with something new and never seen charges for the drinks. The casinos have started charging ‘venue fees’. Yes, the charges are to step inside the casinos and that is outrageous for many customers. This comes after scrutiny and legal actions for exorbitant fees of resorts and casinos. The new venue fees are now mandatory to avoid the other charges.

Mama Rabbit Mezcal and Tequila Bar at Park MGM had such venue fees. As per reports, $38 was charged for mere two drinks. However, an interesting fact was $3.14 was charged against Sales tax and $1.90 against the Venue Fees. When asked for a response, MGM Resorts came up with an explanation. It said that the charges are for Venue Fees and it is counted for Table Service, Bar Service, Venue Operation, Wi-Fi, Gaming Maintenance and Lounge Operations. Well, if technically observed than it sounds so eerily familiar to the Resorts Charges. The resorts were significantly criticized and came under heavy attack for these charges. Now, they have just replaced it to keep collecting the money for business operation from the customers.

The latest and interesting inclusion of charge has again raised a question about gambling exploitation and charges. This has been debated by many for a long time, and all the legal actions against the resort charges can be seen from a similar aspect. However, it seems the resorts and casinos come up with some of the other new idea, to keep their portion of profit intact.
