Lucy Buckley, a former Nektan’s chief executive has stepped down from her position and the company’s founder and executive director Gary Shaw will take over on an interim basis.
Buckey worked in the company as chief executive since October 2018. Before that, she worked with Inspired Entertainment rising to the position of vice president of the supplier’s interactive division.
She stated that because the ongoing restructuration in the company, it was the right time for her to resign on the chief executive’s position.
“The business has a solid foundation of proprietary technology and fast-growing B2B business that will help it capitalize on the many global opportunities ahead.”
Gary Shaw will fulfill this position from now on. He held this role from June 2017 to October 2018.
“On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Lucy for her stewardship during a period of industry change and challenges in the UK market,” Shaw said. “The company remains confident that its sales pipeline has the scope to drive significant revenue growth in both the B2C and B2B divisions.”
Buckley will not depart immediately from the company; she will remain available for a short period and help with the ongoing transition.
Nektan issued a profit warning to investors in June which resulted in player deposits decline in the next few months. Company’s business improved though, and its increase in revenue got better with a 14.8% rise.
