Macau enjoys a significant increase in Chinese New Year arrivals

Chinese New Year is claimed to be better for Macau than the last year. Macau government tourism office states that, there is an increase in the number of visitors. The increase is detected as 21.1 per cent more visitors. The first day was great for the gaming industry of Macau. The mainland Chinese took great advantage of their long holiday season by visiting the city.

The Chinese New Year officially came to an end on February 10. Raise in visitation does not mean that the revenues from gambling as increased. High stacks by a small group of visitors can contribute more to the market. However, it was important to see the trend fluctuations in all the casinos.

Form year to year the number of visitors is increasing for the New Year holiday. In just four days the number people visited Macau was recorded 628811. More than 22 visitations were recorded from mainland China. During the last year, there was a huge amount of visitation recorded which is 860000 visitors.

The Zhuhai the new Hong Kong Macau Bridge assisted with the visitation, most of the traffic still comes through the border gate. A total of 294626 visitors were found at the land crossing Zhuhai and Macau.

The five-star casino hotels were recorded with a huge number of visitors. One report says that before four days of New Year twenty-three five star hotels of Macau was fully booked in all the hotels up to February 7 it was fully packed.
