Man City Missed Out On Signing World Class Italian Defender

football

Manchester City were linked with a potential move for Italian defender Leonardo Bonucci this summer though a move ended up not materializing. City were being tipped to sign a new defender this summer following the departure of former club captain Vincent Kompany who joined Anderlecht in a player/manager role.

City did add to their side this summer by bringing in Rodri and Joao Cancelo. City will once again be contenders for the League title this season and showed their class during their 5-0 win against West Ham this weekend.

However, in Bonucci Pep Guardiola could have landed himself one of the best ball playing centre backs. One could argue that John Stones is one of the only weaknesses in the current City side as he tends to be a bit too sloppy on the ball.
