Lee Minjee is quickly climbing up the ladder in the women golf. She is not celebrated as it should be given the sets of skills she has in golf. However, that may change soon.
After her victory at Hugel-Air Premia LA, Lee is expected to climb from world No.2 in Monday to No.1 in a brief time.
Though Lee has not engaged herself with a conversation on who is the best golf player in the women category, other players have been given more attention. This is the like of Jin Young Ko, Nelly Korda, Sung Hyun Park, Ariya Jutanugarn, Inbee Park, Brooke Henderson, and Lexi Thompson. Lee has been toiling behind the scene.
Lee will take the lead in this week LPGA Mediheal Championship at San Francisco. In a press release, Lee said that coming into the first part of the year, and she had been hitting it pretty stable. She felt like it was close and it felt good.
She has won also won in many respected venues. This includes the astounding winning at Wilshire Club LA.
The Sunday victory was her fifth LPGA title. However, Lee has not won a lot. She is reserved and doesn’t seek attention. She has the capacity contend repeatedly. She has been in second place five times in the last year. Sunday winning was her second title in a spun of two and a half year. Lee is only 22 and is quickly learning how to improve in significant championship resumes. She has only managed three top ten in the last 25 tournaments.
On Sunday game, Lee managed 3-under par 68. She was also the only one who managed four shots in just 60 seconds. She was four shot better than her runner up Sei Young Kim. In the game, Kim tried her best but could not get closer to Lee.
