Nevada Casino Fails To Attain One Billion Dollar Mark In Revenue Collection

Nevada casino revenue declined in August and didn’t attain the $1 billion mark. However, the $952.4 million collected is a 4.3 percent rise compared to the same month in 2018. But it is a decline compared to July 2019, where the revenue was a billion-dollar.

Revenue from slot machine went down by 1 percent while card games and table counter did the best with a 14.3 percent rise. The most robust table gains came from craps, roulette and blackjack.

Nevada’s Sportsbooks were also impressive in August, college football and pre-season NFL boosting overall revenue by 48.7 percent. The total betting profit was about 16 percent amounting to $288 million.

Football generated revenue of $72.3 million which is $12.6 million more than in August 2018. Baseball maintained its previous revenue of $179 million. The other sports segments brought $257K loss, and basketball bettors grabbed $868K of winning tickets.

Nevada sport betting in August wasn’t enough to topple New Jersey which is reported to have handled $293.6 million. This is the third time NJ has surpassed Nevada.
