Companies are in crisis mode, taking this down take to rethink strategies, retool and move forward.
New officers are still coming to the fore. This is the case at International Game Technology (IGT), a global supplier of equipment and tech for the gaming industry.
A new executive VP and CFO will be joining the board. Massimiliano (Max) Chiara is transitioning from CNH Industrial NV, a global holding company.
He has previously served as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory and was affiliated with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV.
The CEO himself is confident that Chiara’s experience and knowledge will be valuable assets to the company, including a deep background in global finance and operations.
Marco Sala says,
“We are excited to have Max join the IGT team, both as a member of my senior leadership team and as a board member. His high standards of excellence, will be tremendous assets to our organization.”
IGT has also announced other changes. For one, the appointment of Beatrice H. Bassey as an independent director.
Bassey currently works for Atlas Mara Ltd., a financial services group based out of Africa, as its Group General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary.
Meanwhile Paget Alves is retiring.
According to IGT Chairman Lorenzo Pelliciolo,
“Paget has been instrumental in supporting IGT and the board during many chapters of the Company’s history. We would like to thank Paget for his many years of service.”
A rebound is in play for IGT, cutting its losses since 2018. Nonetheless, the virus has invaded the gaming body and no one knows for sure what is ahead.
