Some months are better than others in the gambling business but for Delaware sports betting operators, November wasn’t one of them.
Revenues are reported to have declined and the three licensed sportsbooks only took in $1.4 million. October was not great either.
Wagering was strong however so the future may tell a different story.
By the end of November, players staked a total of $10.3 million over four weeks. This is a drop of 35.9% compared to the same time in 2018.
The number of bets was also reported down 18.8% to 285,910. The worse news is that revenues declined a whopping 66.2% year-on-year.
In spite of lower profits, Delaware Park is a popular sports betting spot. It saw a 41.2% drop over twelve months and a 42.1% revenue downslide.
No matter that the venue saw revenues of $852,909 on a handle of $6.3 million.
