There is no end of trouble for Russian Betting Firm 1xBet. Now, premier football clubs Liverpool and Chelsea have called off their agreement and partnership with the firm. This comes after another club Tottenham cut off the ties with the company. The Russian Firm has already been suspended by the UK Gambling Commission and the series of the canceled agreement is making things worse for the betting company.

The news emerged last month that the 1xBet advertisement was on the children’s sports and cockfighting. This is a prohibited act in the UK as per unlawful advertising policy. UK Gambling Commission took serious action on the betting firm and suspended the license with immediate effect. However, this wasn’t the only thing that 1xBet did. They even encourage people of Kenya to gamble as per reports by using the image of Harry Kane, a popular football striker of Tottenham club.

Soon after that, the UK Gambling Commission came hard on the Football clubs. It has been reported that the UKGC threatened legal action in case the clubs are associated with the betting firm. It is understood that the potential legal action was based on the unlawful advertising policy.

The relationship between football clubs in the UK and betting firms are not bearing any good news nowadays. Recently, FA (Football Association) fined Huddersfield Town for their spoof with Paddy Power, another betting firm in the ‘Save our Shirt’ campaign.

1xBet has already stopped advertising in the UK after the incident. However, it is believed that management is currently investigating how their brand name reached prohibited and unlawful websites. The betting firm has not made any comments on the development so far.
