India is lockdown for 21 days and that has helped the online gaming providers. There has been significant growth in the number of users for the online gaming company in India.

The data received from March 2 to March 18, the Mobile Premier League (MPL), a mobile e-sports platform has seen a 400% increase in the number of users in the daily games play for World Cricket Championship (WCC). Hello Play, a social gaming platform has also witnessed a 15% increase in terms of daily active users.

Sudhir Kamath, CEO, and Co-founder of 9Stacks, an online poker platform said that evenings and nights are the busiest time for online gaming activity. However, in the last few days, he mentioned the trend is changing and more people are playing at day time as well.

Another online poker website Adda52 has seen significant 18% growth in the average time spent by the users in the past 2 weeks. The number of daily active users has grown by 12% since March 10.

The numbers are going to increase in the coming days as India is under complete lockdown till April 14 in the wake of Corona COVID 19. So far, India has received 722 cases of infected persons.
