Google’s Pixel 4 launch was not only phenomenal but also packed with awesome features and updates. The latest announcement being Pixel 4 will feature Google’s Live Caption.
For those who don’t know about the Live Caption feature, this is Google’s newest accessibility feature that will allow users to get caption on everything audio.
With this feature, you can probably watch videos comfortably without your headphones even in a crowded public transport. And what is even more amazing is that you will not need an internet connection for it to work because the feature is programmed on the device itself.
If you are skeptical about privacy issues, don’t, Google has covered that too. Since the feature does not need an internet connection and captions remain on the device, this means your captions will stay private.
Live Caption is a plus for users with hearing impairment since they will not miss on anything audio. We can comfortably say Google thought out pretty hard on this feature.
Moreover, Google announced that Live Caption will soon be rolled out and the best part is that it will start with Pixel 4. So if you want to try out the feature soon, you should probably wait for the Pixel 4 release.
That is not to say that other Pixel devices will miss out on the feature as Google announced that it will be extended to those too. Other android users will also benefit as Google provided information about partnering with Android manufacturers.
Lastly, Live Caption allows you to reposition the captions wherever you please. Whether top, middle or bottom that will be for you to decide.
