No doubt the company wants to retain its position as one of the leading brands in iGaming solutions. With this goal in mind, Playtech has agreed to a deal with Solverde Group, a local Portuguese operator that owns four hotels and five land-based casinos.
Partnerships bring progress
The proposed long-term partnership should keep Playtech’s IMS player management platform at the forefront of CasinoSolverde.pt, an online gambling hub formed in 2017 as the newest addition to the group’s portfolio. As part of the contract, the online entity will be able to launch a suite of games employing Playtech’s innovative tools.
The deal has been praised by Manuel Silva Carvalho, a CasinoSolverde.pt board member. He believes it is an exciting moment for the company and part of its mission to develop the casino experience for customers.
“We are pleased to partner with Playtech to bring its industry leading casino offering to the Portuguese audience and are confident it will be a driver of growth for both our businesses in Portugal.”
Playtech’s COO, Shimon Akad is in complete accord. He is pleased to see Playtech’s technology continuing to serve as the infrastructure of choice in competitive and complex regulated markets.
“This deal highlights the continued strength of our data driven platform to offer integrated solutions to operators and we hope to announce further successes in regulated markets soon.”
Portugal on the move
It is not surprising with all this recent activity that Portugal has set a new iGaming revenue record for 2019 Q2. The figures come from Serviço Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos do Turismo de Portugal, the national gambling regulator.
Also supporting Portugal’s rise, revenues of $53.5 million are reported at the end of the second quarter. This is a significant improvement over the previous quarter’s record of $51.8 million.
In other local news, Solverde has joined forces with the Romanian provider, iSoftBet, through a software and tool content distribution deal.
Solverde will have access to its entire portfolio of over 150 slots and table games in the Portuguese market along with a whopping 3000 games through their Game Aggregation Platform.
Marking Portugal’s improved position iGaming giant, Red Rake Gaming, has also entered the country’s regulated market after signing a deal with Casino Portugal.
According to Nick Barr, Managing Director of Red Rake’s Malta operations, this partnership is an exciting and important collaboration.
“This will continue to expand our reach in the Portuguese market where we have seen some very encouraging results from our games.”
