SG Appoints Aristocrat Veterans to Head the Gaming Department

Scientific gaming has appointed three former Aristocrats to level C positions, and the appointees include Matt Wilson who will take up the role of executive vice president and Group chief executive of SG Gaming.

Siobhan Lane will be the new chief commercial officer at SG Gaming, while Connie James joined the firm as the chief financial officer on the 6th of January. The current chief executive officer Derick Mooberry will step down and assume an advisory role.

Matt Wilson has served in various capacities including at an Australian gaming supplier for close to 15 years right from 2004, when he started off as a graduate trainee before he rose to become the entity’s president and managing director in the Americas three years ago. He left this role last year.

As Wilson assumes this position, Mooberry will take on an advisory role. He has previously served as group chief executive between 2014 and 2018.

Lane joins SG Gaming after a long stay at Aristocrat, having come on board in 2017, and risen to senior vice president for marketing and gaming in North American three years ago. In 2019, Lane left this role.

With regards to James, she has spent close to ten years at Aristocrat, having joined the firm as the head of global risk and audit in 2009. She has served as the chief financial officer for a land based firm between 2015 and 2018.

The appointment of these three veterans comes in the wake of the appointment of Jamie Odell in May of 2019. He was CEO at Aristocrat Leisure, but now serves as special advisor at Scientific Games.
