SJM Holdings Announces Pay Hike


SJM Holdings announced “eligible” employees will be receiving a pay rise between 2.5 percent and 8.3 percent.

SJM did not announce how many employees will receive the pay raise, and the did not respond to questions from GGR Asia.

A press release from the Macau company said that employees earning under $2,000 a month will receive a pay rise between 3.7 and 8.3 percent. The increase for employees earning over $2,000 a month is 2.5 percent.

SJM also claimed their new Grand Lisboa Palace casino resort will create 8,000 jobs when it is completed. SJM has previously stated the resort will be completed in the first half of the year.

The announcement comes after a variety of competitors announced their own pay increases. MGM China Holdings, Sands China, Melco Resorts and Entertainment, Wynn Macau, and Galaxy Entertainment Group all announced varying pay hikes for different employees.
