Sports Betting Starts in Iowa on the August 5th

The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC) has decided that starting on August 15, they will launch sports betting activity in the state. IRG will hold a meeting today to discuss the launching day preparations. Daily fantasy sports (DFS) will also have the chance to be a part of this launch.

Brian Ohorilko, the IRGC administrator, has stated that 18 of the state’s 19 casinos have applied for licenses that will allow them to offer services to sport betting fans at their facilities.

Iowa is getting ready for this event. The state regulator confirmed that betting monitors are in place and that it is in everyone’s interest if people bet in a legalized and fair manner.
