Tottenham star Christian Eriksen is reportedly a priority target for Manchester United this summer. Eriksen is widely regarded as being one of the best creative playmakers in the Premier League. He has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
The Denmark international has not indicated a desire to sign a new contract with Spurs and he may now be tempted to leave the club in order to play for a team which can offer him improved chances of winning major trophies.
A report published by the Mirror has claimed that United could possibly triple the current wages which are earned by Eriksen. Eriksen is entering the final year of his current Spurs deal and so the North Londoners may have to sell this summer if the player does not agree to a new deal.
If Spurs do sell, United anticipate that they may have to pay a sum of money in the region of £95 million. Spurs have reportedly already started identifying possible replacements for Eriksen with Leicester City’s James Maddison reportedly one of their targets.
