Smart Valor — a Switzerland-based cryptocurrency exchange — has launched a platform that trades on four fiat currencies with Bitcoin and Ether as per the July 30 blog post.
Switzerland gets another crypto development
On a monthly basis, the exchange — which combines brokerage and custody features — will be adding new currencies.
The company — which is the country’s first launched integrated exchange provider — is situated in Switzerland’s home of Crypto Valley Association, since its headquarter is based in the town of Zug.
In the blog post, CEO Olga Feldmeier expressed the following comments:
“After 18 months of development, we are excited to go live with a core element of the SMART VALOR Platform — the exchange.”
She went on to say:
“This brings us a huge step forward to our vision of becoming the world’s first security token exchange for alternative investments.”
The initial BTC and ETH pairs offered are the British pound sterling, U.S. dollar, euro, and Swiss franc. Smart Valor will be able to offer security tokens in the future after Swiss authorities gives it the requisite license.
CHF-based stable coin, native cryptocurrency currency (VALOR) staking and fiat money long-term deposit are also part of its next 6 months roadmap.
Crypto Valley progress
This launch comes at a time when other Crypto Valley members have recorded rapid progress. For instance, this week, Bitcoin Suisse (broker) made an application to be a banking and securities dealer while Aximetria (finance app) got an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) license which is recognized nationally.
