Tabcorp, the Australian betting operator, has signed a brand new partnership deal with the National Football League. The company has now officially become the league’s official wagering partner in Australia. Although not much has been known about the deal, Tabcorp spokesman said that they aim to “create unique NFL content and experiences for Australian fans across its digital platforms and venues.”
Also, Tabcorp and the NFL will work on the NFL’s official Pick’em free-to-play football game. NFL Network and NFL RedZone programming will be streamed via Tabcorp and Sky Channel from now on.
Tabcorp suffered some setbacks according to the most recent annual report. Although digital wagering turnover was good, the overall profit was crippled by generous bonus offers.
NFL always criticized gambling, but it looks like that they may change the tune completely. For years, NFL teams worked with gambling firms and the league itself declared Caesars Entertainment its first official casino sponsor in January 2018.
