The New $150 M Live! Casino Begins Construction with Fanfare at Groundbreaking Ceremony

It was a stellar event at the $150m Live! Casino. The groundbreaking ceremony to launch the construction of the venue was the work of Stadium Casino Westmoreland, an affiliate of The Cordish Companies.

There were plenty of Cordish executives and Pennsylvania state dignitaries along with representatives from local businesses and community leaders supporting the tourism industry. Everyone turned out to see the groundbreaking of the 100,000-square-foot gaming, dining and entertainment destination.

The casino is just part of an enormous development at the Westmoreland mall, which totals 1.3 million square feet. The Hempfield Township location is but thirty miles from Pittsburgh’s city center.

There will be plenty of slots and live action table games plus a sportsbook. Visitors will enjoy renowned restaurants and live entertainment opportunities.

It is all part of the plan go generate $188 million in the region. The construction process with related jobs is the tip of the iceberg. The entire development bodes well for the economy of The Keystone State. Almost two thousand jobs will be created directly and indirectly.
According to Jon Cordish, The Cordish Companies President, everyone is pleased to see the launch of the newest Live! Casino project into Pennsylvania. Cordish prides itself on treating guests like family and this venue will be no exception.

“…First-class service, friendly atmosphere and exciting environment are reflected in this new, unique gaming, dining and entertainment destination in Westmoreland County.”
